Indian GCCs set to add 1.2-1.4 lakh hands to their rolls this year

In 2025, there were about 5,500 to 6,500 layoffs, but both new and existing GCCs added to the net headcount growth. Even as select roles were cut, companies continued to scale cloud, AI, and enterprise platforms, resulting in net job creation of 135,000–150,000 roles and reinforcing India’s GCC landscape as a rapid talent reallocation engine rather than a market in decline.
